Mercury Hall Wedding | Austin, Texas | Christian + Beth

They met on OkCupid and a few days after the first email exchange, they met in person at Little Barrel and Brown on South Congress. He wore chuck tailors and a pearl snap shirt with a Dickies jacket and a chain wallet. You know, the typical "bad boy" look. It only took a few minutes to learn that he was actually a sweet country boy from a big charming family.

There wasn't just a single "aha" moment that made them realize they'd be lifelong partners, but a series of them. On their first date, Christian asked Beth what she thought about shrimp. When she responded, "I think they're bottom feeders" he laughed and accepted the fact that she didn't like shrimp and preferred to move onto a different dish. Over the months that followed, moments revealed themselves and Beth found this one was easy to love. "He accepted me as I am. As someone who puts a lot of pressure on myself to please everyone and be "successful", his total acceptance of me and all my quirks has totally put me at ease in my own skin and in my own life." - Beth

One evening Beth came home to Christian, their two dogs, and a collection of her favorite flowers all around their home. The aroma of Larkspur and Hydrangeas filled the air. With the ring in hand and a bouquet in the other, he got down on one knee and asked Beth to marry him. Christian and Beth would have had a potluck party in their yard, but it wasn't big enough so Mercury Hall became the perfect wedding venue for a relaxed and vibrant wedding.

My friends, congratulations on your union. It was an honor to witness such an intimate ceremony. Your wedding described you perfectly as a couple. Classy, colorful and fun.
