How They Met: 

Johnny + Jana grew up in San Antonio practically down the street from one another. Their paths must have crossed hundreds of times but it wasn't until college -- 500 miles away that they finally met. Their freshman year at LSU (Geaux Tigers) they met through a mutual friend after a night of going out at the local college bars. They immediately connected and went for a late night meal together at the most luxurious 5-star restaurant right off campus -- Burger King. They joke about how their love story began "all because he bought her a whopper!"

However, after that night they went their separate ways and didn't reconnect until after they had both graduated from college and moved back home to San Antonio. Their relationship advanced pretty quickly and we "officially" dating almost two weeks after their first date! Together they've traveled to 4 countries, 5 states, and countless cities, adopted a dog named Mardi and have made the move to Austin together. 

How He Asked: 

On February 1st John and Jana had some friends visit from Louisiana so they spent the day showing them the sights, sounds, and food Austin has to offer. Later that evening they headed to The Oasis to experience the sunset over Lake Travis. While posing for photos John got down to one knee and popped the questions as the sun was setting.
