You know the type of couple you met for the very first time and depart feeling sore from all the belly laughs? This is one of those couples. Dale and Krissy bring so much joy to one another and laugh and play like two teenagers in love. I am one lucky girl to call them my friends and am honored to be photographing one of the best seasons of their lives. Here are some of my favorites from their cloudy engagement session at Texas Old Town. 

How They Met:

They met several years ago and as time went on, they lost touch. One day Krissy's Instagram profile was suggested to Dale as a person he may know. They followed each other and eventually, their conversations turned into dates. It wasn't until after Krissy had back surgery that she knew he was the one for her. While she was in the hospital, she wanted nothing more than to simply wash her hair. I sympathize with her because we all have that one simple thing in a miserable situation that makes us feel better. Dale put his swim trunks on, made something for Krissy to wear so that her back incisions wouldn't get wet and guided her to have a seat in the shower so that he could wash her hair for her. Krissy told me, "We are always there for one another no matter the situation". 

How He Asked:

After spending an evening fishing in the gulf and spending quality time with the family in Port Aransas, Dale and Krissy decided to go by one more fishing stop on their way back to Corpus. Needless to say, it wasn't until 2 am when they finally got back to where they were staying. As Krissy was preparing the bed Dale said to her, "Babe, I know this isn't the most romantic, but I love you so much". Still in their funky fish-smelling clothes, she turned around and saw him down on one knee. "I love you so much. Will you marry me?" She was completely taken by surprise and after a brief moment of confusion said "YES!".  

Congrats my friends and I can't wait for the wedding day. This is going to be so much fun!
