How They Met:

They met their freshman year of college at the beach on Labor Day. They were introduced to one another and only said a friendly “hi” in passing. It wasn’t until a year later that they got to know each other at their community pool. It was pretty late into the evening and the beach-side breeze was starting to cool the air, so people headed indoors for the rest of the night. Cedric seized the opportunity to introduce himself by asking her to jump into the chilly water with him. Both scared to jump into the cold water, they held hands and plunged right in. They’ve been on this adventure ever since.

Cedric was drawn to the energy Victoria puts out to those around her. He fell in love with her early into their relationship but would tell her “I adore you” as to not scare her off. This hopeless romantic knew she was the one when she fell asleep on him while watching a movie. This felt like home.

How He Asked:

On Easter Day they went on a family vacation to California and visited Disneyland. As they arrived, Victoria noticed everyone around them being very secretive. Shortly after visiting with Captain Hook and taking pictures, Hook disappeared, and Cedric knelt to say a few sweet words to his soon-to-be fiancé. Of course, with tears in her eyes, she screamed “Oh my god, YES! I love you” and everyone surrounding them starting cheering in celebration.

Together, they left Corpus Christi behind and will be getting married in Kyle, Texas at Texas old Town -- Right where they took their engagement photos.
