I love meeting couples who are just as excited about their photo session as I am. I seriously have the best couples around. Sam + Colleen have such huge hearts and even after several years together they still find ways to flirt with one another and make each other laugh. 

How They Met:

On the evening before Halloween (queue creepy music) while on a blind group date, three gals were paired with three 'handsome' guys on a blind date in Houston. Guy 1 was dressed as a Cowboy, Guy 2 was dressed as a Pirate and last but not least, Guy 3 was dressed as Where's Waldo. It was Sam, the quirky kid dressed as Where's Waldo, complete with a red and white had and thick black glasses that drew Colleen's attention and clearly became her favorite. 

Despite the fact that the guys were the only ones in costume, the group hit if off immediately. The night carried onto a night full of karaoke and drinks. At the end of the night, Sam who hadn't had much time to spend with Colleen, surprised her by asking for her number. The rest was history -- the two quickly became inseparable; especially as Colleen always describes it, she knew that quirky cutie was a keeper. 

Fast forward five years and may adventures together... Waldo  Sam and Colleen were embarking on yet another trip, heading to Bali, Indonesia for their holiday vacation. Shortly before the trip, Colleen surprised Sam with a new puppy who they named Max. Little did she know, Sam planned an even bigger surprise. 

How He Asked:

After a near miss at the airport where the agent at the check-in counter almost ruined the surprise, Sam managed to get an unsuspecting Colleen to the top of the mountain at Kelingking beach on Nusa Penida, a small island off the coast of Bali. It was there that he got down on one knee and proposed -- completely surprising Colleen and bringing her to tears. That day unforgettably marked the beginning of a new chapter of their adventure together. That day Sam + Colleen exploded the wonders of Nusa Penida island and ended the evening watching the sunset during a private dinner on the pier of the Ayana Resort in Bali. 

While they call Houston their home, they'll be marrying in Austin at Matties - Green Pastures. I can't wait you guys!!
